Krispy Kreme launches its under-200 calorie range including two new irresistible doughnuts

Foodies with a candy enamel were going wild as Krispy Kreme announced the launch of two new doughnuts at just 195 energy each for the New Year. 

The two new flavours will sit down alongside the enduring Original Glazed, making up a new tempting low calorie trio, and will be available for a restricted time till 29 January.

The flavours, Berry Burst and Lemon Crunch  has landed in Krispy Kreme stores, grocery store cabinets, Welcome Break, Road Chef, Just Eat, Uber Eats and Deliveroo.

Many doughnut fanatics on-line went wild over the tasty bakes, with one commenting: 'Forget the calories I'm going for a dozen interested in myself!'

The Berry Burst Krispy Kreme describes itself as fruity, flavourful take at the vintage ring doughnut. 

It has been dipped in raspberry icing glaze and topped with raspberry flavoured meringue items and fruity sugar sprinkles. 

While the Lemon Crunch doughnut is dipped in lemon icing glaze and topped with lemon sugar sprinkles and lemon flavoured meringue pieces. 

The new 195 KCAL doughnuts will retail at £2.35 every or £10.80 for a six pack of all 3 low calorie flavours.

It used to be just a few months in the past that Krispy Kreme introduced in McDonald's, with flavours including chocolate iced with sprinkles and raspberry crammed. 

The corporate wanted to see how new merchandise on its menu fared against its McCafé range and 'give fanatics what they crave.'

In a commentary, McDonald's mentioned that the checks might be run at nine places in Louisville, Kentucky, from 2 October 2022 and donuts will probably be dropped at the eating places on a daily basis via Krispy Kreme. 

The observation went on: 'This small-scale check will assist us know how offering new bakery pieces like Krispy Kreme may impact operations in our eating places.'

And the check, running for a limited time, is being piloted to assist 'tell long run menu selections.'
